As it enters it's third year in operation, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Village is pleased to announce its new officers and a new program.
- Chair Carolynn Petru
- Vice Chair Helen Dennis
- Chief Financial Officer Ann Shaw
- Secretary Fran Wielin
Each term of office is two years, until December 31, 2019.
The new program, called Friendship Circles, is being instituted so that members within their own neighborhoods can get to know each other and help one another for emergency preparedness. "Having friends around you during a fire or earthquake is necessary for feeling safe and evacuating safely and successfully, " explained Executive Director Colleen Cutter. Also on tap for the new year is our next Upside to Aging in October of 2018 as well as many other fun events.
The Board wishes to acknowledge and thank Fran Wielin and Lynn Solomita for their dedicated service as the Peninsula Village's Chair and Secretary, respectively, during the past year.
The Palos Verdes Village is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserve and enhance the comfort, security, dignity and social engagement of older adults who want to continue independent living in the Palos Verdes Peninsula area through education, social events and needed services provided by dedicated staff and volunteers.
