Village Voices on Ageism


Please join us for an important conversation!  It’s about ageism – the prejudice or discrimination because of a person’s age.  Ageism is subtle and can be expressed through language and images in the media, health care, the workplace and even public policies.  We are holding a first – to get our Villagers and community views on ageism. We want to know your personal observations and experiences as well as your suggestions to counteract the most socially acceptable “ism” in our society—all to enhance opportunities for older adults to live a life of purpose and dignity.  We look forward to your participation.  And – we will have a good time!  Attendance is limited.

Moderated by PVP Village Board member Helen Dennis, a nationally recognized leader on issues of aging and the new retirement.  She is well known for her weekly syndicated column on Successful Aging.
