About this event

Most of us know the basics about disaster preparedness—but do you know what really happens when disaster strikes? Beyond packing a “go bag,” how do you prepare for an evacuation or shelter-in-place order?  Join us for an informative presentation designed specifically for older adults with RPV Preparedness Coordinator, Luna Mohammed. Drawing on lessons learned from recent Southern California disasters, Luna will discuss what residents can expect during an emergency, share critical tips for readiness, and answer your questions.  Whether it’s a fire, earthquake, or another unexpected emergency, you’ll leave with a better understanding of what really happens during a disaster—and how to best prepare before it happens.

Hosted by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Village and the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.

Tuesday, September 8 at 11 AM in the Peninsula Library Community Room.  Please register at VillageMainOffice@gmail.com or (310) 415-2762.
