The Village Goes to the Opera ***VIRTUAL***
Ray Busmann will present fascinating facts about Akhnaten, father of King Tut. He is employed by LA Public Library and LA Opera to bring outreach programs to the community. Mr. Busmann is an Educator who explores fascinating personalities of the past. One of the personalities is "a revolutionary young PHARAOH whose incredible contributions to history and the arts were erased from the world’s memory for 3,000 years”. The PHARAOH’S name is AKHNATEN and he is the father of KING TUT! Philip Glass composed and produced an opera about AKHNATEN for the Metropolitan Opera, along with many other musical works and films. Ray Busmann’s talk includes stunning scenes from the opera as he takes us through the history.
